LCD (selective area light curing technology)
LCD is an emerging technology in 3D printing technology, which has become popular in recent years. The research and development based on DLP has greatly reduced the cost, the starting threshold can be reached, and the accuracy can be comparable to DLP. UV irradiation curing resin is used as the molding method. Lcd 3d printer uses LCD imaging principle to provide image signals in computer programs driven by computer and display circuit, and selective transparent areas appear on LCD screen. The ultraviolet light is cured by exposing the photosensitive resin consumables in the resin tank in the transparent area. After the curing time of each layer is completed, the platform support plate lifts the curing part, the resin liquid replenishes and refluxes, the platform drops again, and the model is cured and raised layer by layer to form a delicate three-dimensional model. Therefore, the LCD 3D printer imaging through this principle is called "LCD 3D printer".
Benefits:
1: The accuracy of LCD 3D printer can reach 0.025, and the layer pattern beats FDM. The accuracy is similar to DLP printing technology, and even the printing accuracy of some SLA devices can be obtained.
2: It is formed by ultraviolet light, forming the volume of one face at a time. In large-area printing, the printing speed is much faster than FDM.
3: The printed wooden support type can be easily removed, and the external support can be easily removed with sandpaper.
4: The price of LCD printer is 10 times lower than that of DLP printer, with simple maintenance and low cost.
