With the industrialization of 3D printing in the jewelry industry, we believe that 3D printing will bring great changes to the jewelry industry: changes in production process, customized services and more complex design
Let's feel how 3D printing will make the jewelry industry different from the past.
The entry point of 3D printing in jewelry making process
In indirect manufacturing, wax molds are usually printed in 3D for casting, and wax materials are printed by high-precision 3D printers. Then, put the wax model into a container, fill the container with liquid gypsum and cover the wax model. When the gypsum solidifies, take out the mold and put it into the furnace to melt the wax material, and the rest of the gypsum becomes an inverted mold. Then pour the molten jewelry metal into the gypsum inverted mold, wait for the metal to solidify, and finally crush and remove the gypsum part. Compared with the traditional mold opening method, this method has greatly enriched the jewelry design, shortened the jewelry manufacturing process and improved the efficiency of jewelry manufacturing. In addition to the material of 3D printing wax, another method is the material of 3D printing resin, which is used to replace wax to complete investment casting.
Pioneer: additive manufacturing enterprise pioneer focuses on R & D and production of professional rapid prototyping equipment, which is applied to jewelry, dentistry, industrial manufacturing and other industries. The resin consumables independently developed by Pioneer have good flexibility and can maintain the formed shape. The existing jewelry professional 3D printing equipment (LCD series) can be said to be one of the major advantages of jewelry 3D printing. It can realize more complex jewelry design, and the complexity will not increase the printing cost.
